The island of Antipaxos lies off the southern coast of the larger island of Paxi, just 2 nautical miles away, with both islands situated a little over 10 kilometres south of Corfu.
Covered in vineyards that produce excellent wine, Antipaxos boasts stunning golden-sand beaches along its eastern coast that slope into emerald-green waters.
Small, unspoilt and refreshingly undeveloped, Antipaxos is a true paradise for sea lovers. Agrapidia is the island’s only village and sits in the bay where ferries from Paxi dock after just 20 minutes at sea.
Caribbean-style beaches line the northeastern part of the island, with the finest being Vrika, blessed with soft white sand, Voutoumi, a pebble beach topped with a taverna and reached via 214 steps, where you can enjoy a spectacular sunset, and Kaloiri. All three beaches feature shallow, sandy seabeds and are framed by white rock. Linked by a coastal path, they’re about 30 minutes’ walk apart.
