Myrtiotissa is Corfu’s open secret—a fairly popular beach that somehow never feels crowded, maintaining its natural charm intact.
There are no bars or facilities nearby, which only adds to the appeal of this enchanting spot.
Glyfada is a stretch of soft golden sand that rivals Paleokastritsa for the title of “Corfu’s most beautiful beach”.
Its distinctive feature is the picturesque natural pools created by a cluster of rocks at one end of the beach, though Glyfada is equally renowned for its lively beach bars.
The drive to reach it, cutting through the heart of the island, is particularly scenic.
Agios Giorgios Pagi is a broad horseshoe bay set in a valley in the island’s north (not to be confused with the southern Agios Giorgios beach), ringed by rocky headlands clothed in lush vegetation.
The sandy beach stretches for an impressive 5 km, perfect for leisurely seaside strolls; if you’re after spectacular photographs, head up to the top of the rocky headlands for breathtaking views over the bay and the nearby villages of Pagi and Afionas.
Halikounas beach is a narrow, elongated tongue of golden sand separating the Ionian Sea from Lake Korission.
It’s popular with windsurfing and kitesurfing enthusiasts who find ideal conditions here, but it’s also perfect for anyone seeking a tranquil, wild-feeling beach.
Sidari is Corfu’s destination for lovers: the narrow stretch of sea between striking rock formations in various shades of yellow, known as the Canal d’Amour, is said to have magical properties—couples who swim through it are believed to marry shortly after.

If you don’t buy into this legend, or if you’re a committed singleton, visit the charming village of Sidari anyway and explore the pretty little beaches nearby.
Avlaki is a peaceful pebble beach tucked between the villages of Kassiopi to the north and Agios Stephanos to the south.
Unknown to mass tourism, it remains wonderfully quiet: make the most of it with an invigorating swim in its crystalline waters.
Considered by many to be the most beautiful beach on Corfu’s eastern coast, Barbati is a narrow, elongated stretch of white pebbles surrounded by vegetation-covered hills and lapped by crystalline waters.
It’s particularly suited to nature lovers, who can enjoy magnificent views across an idyllic natural landscape; the more energetic can even climb Mount Pantokrator via the trail starting from the beach.
Another captivating white-pebble beach along the island’s eastern shore is Kerasia, distinguished by its extraordinary emerald-hued waters.
From here you can admire a splendid vista across wild coastline and even glimpse the Albanian coast, which isn’t far away.
Benitses is a sand and pebble beach that combines beautiful scenery with practicality—ideal if you want a stress-free seaside holiday.
Just 12 km from the capital, it’s easily accessible by car or bus and boasts plenty of facilities, earning it the Blue Flag award.
The adjoining resort town tends to get quite busy; if you’re planning to stay in the area, there’s a good range of hotels and apartments, but it’s best to book well ahead.
